Spirit Cultural Exchange held several different job fairs for employers to hire employees for the summer 2013 and winter 2014 seasons. Spirit held a smaller-scale job fair in Manila, Philippines from October 7-9, 2012, which included a cultural tour of Manila. From October 10-15, employers met in Bangkok, Thailand, where Spirit arranged sightseeing activities like a cultural tour of Bangkok, featuring the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and an optional spa trip. Six employers hired employees at this fair.
The Taiwan and China Job Fair was held from November 3-12, 2012. The agenda included a cultural tour of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, shopping, and a group dinner. Seventeen employers hired employees at this fair.
The Europe Job Fair was held from January 30-February 8, 2013 in Kiev, Ukraine, and Ankara and Istanbul, Turkey. From January 30-February 4, employees met in Kiev, where they enjoyed a cultural tour of Kyiv Fortress, Andriyivski Uzviz, and St. Sophia’s Cathedral. From February 4-8, employers gathered in Ankara, where they participated in a tour of the Corum Museum and historical monuments of the Hittite Empire. A smaller Easy Hire fair was held in Istanbul on February 9. Seventeen employers hired employees at the Europe Job Fair.
Spirit employees organized a job fair in Cluj and Bucharest, Romania from March 6-11, 2013. Employers were able to visit Dracula’s Castle on their way to Bucharest from Cluj, and also enjoyed a tour of Bucharest that included the Palace of Parliament, the Romanian Peasant Museum, the Van Gogh Grand Café, Stavropoleos Church, Old Princely Court, and dinner at Bamio Restaurant. Eight employers hired employees in Romania.
The final job fair of 2013 was from August 24-28 in South America. Employers gathered in Lima, Peru from August 24-25, where they enjoyed a visit to the Choco Museo and dinner at Central Restorante in Miraflores. On August 28, they went to Florianópolis, Brazil, and took a city tour that included a boat trip to Costa de Lagoa from lunch, sand dunes, and a public market tour. Nine employers found employees in Peru and Brazil.
