Spirit Cultural Exchange held several different job fairs to prepare for the 2010 season. The Asia Job Fair in November 2009 was held in Bangkok, Thailand; Taipei, Taiwan; and Beijing, China, and was spearheaded by two Spirit employees. Employers traveled to Bangkok from November 9-13, where they were treated to a welcome dinner cruise, a group dinner, and a city tour. Six employers hired employees in Bangkok.
The group then traveled to Taipei from November 14-15, where they had the chance to go on a city tour, see an acrobat show, and have a group dinner. Four employers hired employees in Tapei.
During their time in Beijing from November 17-19, employers were able to choose from two different city tours; either visiting Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, or the Great Wall and the Olympic venues. Employers got to try Peking duck at Quanjude Roast Duck Restaurant, see an acrobat show, and meet with the U.S. Consulate. Twelve employees hired employees in Beijing.
In January 2010, Spirit held a job fair in Kingston, Jamaica, where employers enjoyed local attractions like Lime Cay and Port Royale, and fifteen employers hired employees.
The Europe Job Fair was held in February 2010. The fair began in Istanbul, Turkey from February 15-17, where participants took a city tour and had a group dinner. The group then traveled to Ankara, Turkey from February 17-19. In Turkey, ten employers hired employees. The fair then went to Kiev, Ukraine from February 19-21 and then on to Skopje, Macedonia for a smaller job fair.
Spirit also held a South American job fair in August 2010 for employers to hire employees for the winter 2011 season. Employers traveled to Florianopolis, Brazil from August 15-18 and Lima, Peru from August 19-23. They participated in tours in both cities and around seven employers hired employees at the job fair.
