Spirit Cultural Exchange held several different job fairs for employers to hire employees for the summer 2011 and winter 2012 seasons. From November 3-12, 2010, two Spirit staff members organized the Spirit Asia Job Fair for the summer 2011 season. Employers traveled to Shanghai and Shaoxing in mainland China and Bangkok, Thailand to hire employees.
In China, employers enjoyed a group welcome dinner and shopping near Yu Gardens, a boat tour of the Bund, and a group dinner at Quanjude Roast Duck Restaurant. Eight employers hired employees in China.
The job fair moved to Bangkok from November 8-12, where participants enjoyed a city tour of Wat Prakeaw and the Grand Palace, as well as the Jim Thompson House. They also participated in a welcome dinner cruise and a group dinner at Blue Elephant. Five employers hired employees in Bangkok.
Spirit also organized a Europe Job Fair from February 12-21, 2011 for the summer 2011 season. In Istanbul, Four employers found employees, and all the employers enjoyed a welcome dinner and a city tour of Istanbul. In Kiev, five employers found employees, and employers were able to tour Kiev. In Skopje, Macedonia, one employer found employees during a mini job fair session.
There was also a job fair held in Kingston, Jamaica from January 11-15, 2011, organized by two Spirit staff members. Optional group excursions to Lime Cay, Port Royal, and Dunn’s River Falls were on the agenda, and four employers found employees.
Spirit held a job fair for the winter 2012 season in South America from August 21-September 3, 2011. This trip was organized by two Spirit staff members, and included stops in Chile, Peru, Brazil, and Argentina. Cultural tours of Lima, Sao Paulo, Floripa, Santiago, and Buenos Aires were offered, and around eleven employers hired employees.
