Spirit Cultural Exchange held several job fairs for employers to hire for the spring/summer 2014 and winter 2015 seasons. The first job fairs were held in Thailand and the Philippines from October 6-15, 2013. Two Spirit staff members organized this fair, which was in Manila from October 7-9 and Bangkok from October 10-15. In Bangkok, employers enjoyed a cultural tour of the city. Three employers hired employees at this job fair.
The next job fair was held in Shanghai, China from November 6-11, 2013. Two Spirit staff members organized this fair, which included a cultural tour of Shanghai. During the tour, participants were able to experience attractions like the Oriental Pearl Tower, Yu Gardens, and a night boat cruise along the Bund district on the Huangpu River. They also enjoyed a welcome dinner at Xiao Nan Guo and a farewell dinner at Element Fresh. Fourteen employers hired employees in Shanghai.
Ukraine and Turkey were the next job fair destination, with employers gathering in Kiev, Ukraine from January 29-February 3, 2014 and Ankara and Istanbul, Turkey from February 3-7, 2014. A Ukraine cultural tour included stops at the Chernobyl Museum and the National Historical Museum of Ukraine, among other attractions. In Turkey, employers took a two-day cultural tour of Cappadocia, where they visited the Valley of the Fairy Chimneys, took a hot air balloon tour, and attended the Cities of the Underworld Tour. Six employers hired employees during the Ukraine and Turkey job fair.
Spirit employees organized a job fair in Prague, Czech Republic and Cluj, Romania from February 27-March 6, 2014. In Prague, employers visited the Old Town Square, Charles Bridge, Nerudova Street, Prague Castle, Golden Lane, and the National Theatre on a cultural tour, while in Cluj they participated in a group activity called the Dungeon Game. Six employers hired employees in Prague and Cluj.
Spirit employees organized a job fair in Beijing, China from March 12-17, 2014. Employers had the chance to see the Great Wall and the Silk Market, as well as trying Peking duck at Quanjude Restaurant in Beijing. Three employers found employees at the Beijing job fair.
