On the first day of my second week, we made bread to eat. I was so interested in the idea of making my own bread to eat because I am so used to just buying it at the store. I never thought I would be the one to make it and then enjoy my labor the following day. What I enjoyed most about this was that I was able to create my own designs, and my host siblings would also get creative, like making turtles, snowmen, and birds. This is one of the first of many experiences that have brought my family closer together. We had so much fun making the bread that we ended up competing on who can make the best ones and the fastest ones. This one event helped form a special bond between my host siblings and I, because I wanted them to know that I am here to help them, be with them, and also experience what they experience in their daily lives.
