On Thursday, I observed an arthroscopic repair of a patient’s rotator cuff. This procedure was very complex and lasted nearly 3 hours. After volunteering, I went back to rest and later that night realized that I had a fever and a cough. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend my last day of volunteering on Friday, but I hope that with enough rest I can recover by Saturday to spend my last day in Quito visiting museums before I leave for the airport around 8pm to fly back home.
