White Sox Game with Spirit

Spirit staff, along with Spirit Interns and Teachers, attended a Chicago White Sox baseball game on May 21. The White Sox won against the Kansas City Royals 5-2!

For many of the BridgeUSA participants, it was their first baseball game in the USA. It was exciting for the Spirit Interns and Teachers to see famous Major League Baseball teams play in person. One Teacher said, “This feels like a movie!”

Baseball is known as “America’s pasttime” and has been played in the US since the late 18th century. Since then, Major League Baseball has grown to 30 teams all over the US. Millions of Americans watch baseball on television and in person. If you attend a baseball game, you can enjoy staple American foods such as hamburgers and hot dogs, and have fun cheering for your favorite team.

Spirit enjoyed meeting our participants in person, and we plan to host more successful events like this in future.
